Hi Colin,
You asked me for some feedback on the Plan on a Page add-in I bought from you.
To set the scene I am a contract project manager and mostly work for large corporations or Government.
One of the constants doing this kind of work is regular reporting to up-line management. They are firstly, usually interested in looking at a number of projects quickly from a high level to focus on projects that are not performing. This is fairly easy to do with RAG status and a dashboard type reporting that most organisations offer.
Your add-in becomes much more useful when you are trying to focus on one project, to see what is working or not, when the effort will be expended, what is left to complete and so on. MS Project is notoriously bad at presenting this information in a style that management will understand. There is no point in handing over the MS Project itself so what I used to do was save the plan in Excel, then play with it and add in additional information, finally export it into PowerPoint and again play with it until it became presentable.
However many times I did this, I was never able to get the process down to less than a couple of hours and even then it was not perfect. As projects are constantly moving, this work had to be re-done whenever the report was required.
Your product effectively gives me a simple yet powerful presentation that I can give to anyone to explain the state of the project with just one click.
